Djun Djetti

Biography

“We are not alone”, his latest album was inevitable for this culturally -trained renegade: a song cycle inspired by Organic funk, clad in drums and percussion. It doesn’t rock, but it vibrates, spinning a tale involving change, revolution and what may be peyote cactus tea. It is hard to get more deliriously fever-pitched than the start of Flat Knacka. There is no doubt that Djun Djett is on his way to mastering the sound of the future by playing a rack of 4 didgeridoos and creating key changes during the song arrangement then combing it with lyrics. It is quite supreme and delivers a high energy that uplifts audiences with a display of powerful, tight and infectiously danceable music.

Best known for his creative didgeridoo collaboration with indie band Of Montreal “Wraith Pinned to Mists (and Other Games)” featured in the Outback Steak House 2005-2009 Global Ad campaign. Wayne’s performances include sharing the stage with Gypsy Kings, Buddy Miles, Calvin Owens, Earth, Wind and Fire, John Forte, The Gap Band, War, Elan Atias of Bob Marley and the whalers and opening act forTim Mcgraw
